POST WWII JETS

During the last years of WWII German aircraft firms put forth a number of advanced designs based on the new jet technology. One of them was chosen as the winner of the emergency fighter program and a number of others reached an advanced state of design and wind tunnel testing prior to the end of the war. These are commonly referred to as Luft 46 designs as that would have been the earliest that they would have been ready for service had the war continued on. Many of the post war jet aircraft were heavily influenced by these designs and the wind tunnel data that they generated. This collection not only includes some Luft 46 aircraft but some of the post war designs they influenced.
